EUREKA - CARBONI'S ACCOUNT QUESTIONED
Link:http://www.hereticpress.com/Hanrahan.html
The material on this site (prepared by Tim Anderson) gives a Hanrahan family reply to Carboni's accusation that the Pikemen leader Captain Hanrahan, was safe as a "bank" weeks after the Stockade. This site suggests that the Eureka Stockade was a cause of shame for practicing Catholics long after the Event and it also suggests there was a type of post traumatic stress disorder following the Stockade, not to recognise the shame of the bloodshed, almost a Freudian type social repression of a bad memory.
Other pages from Heretic Press relating to Australian history before 1901 are on Michael Tuohy - tried for treason after the stockade; and pioneer NSW farmer Thomas Anderson.
